Day 8 1.15 pound

Today was the best day for Grace & me. We got to spend 3 1/2 hours doing kangaroo care(skin to skin) together. She didn't have any breathing or heart issues at all. It was the best nap I have had with her heartbeat and breaths next to me. Awe inspiring. Her GI track just started working. Yea! Poop baby poop. :) Do you have a hero? Mine is a little 1 pound micro-preemie who is fighting for her life & is succeeding.

Miracles make my eyes wet and make my heart feel funny. What a blessing Grace is to all of us that are observing. Fight on Grace!

Welcome to Little Grace's corner. The reason for the name of this blog is because Little Grace is in the corner of a Seattle, WA NICU with the best view out a large window. This is her story from that little corner in the NICU. I hope you will follow her story as she fights for her life as a 27 week micro-preemie who shouldn't be here yet. Her due date was November 9th, 2010. Her birth date was August 14, 2010. Born 3 months too early at 2 pounds 4 ounces and 14" long. She is here by the grace of God and many talented, educated and wonderful doctors and nurses who have the endless love in their hearts to save these precious little spirits. Share in the trials, joys and tears from mommy going through this time with Gracie without her 8 other children, husband, family and friends being in the same city. Therefore, I hope this blog will help bring everyone together knowing we all struggle and need help during difficult times in our lives. Thank you for all your support, prayers, fasting, love, gifts, phone calls, letters, emails, acts of kindness, food, smiles, rides, and so much more! I love all of you!
